What happens at the in-depth consultation?
Your consultation is a full hour. We look at your skin health as a whole, including your acne, using a skin scan that shows what is happening beneath the surface, so you can see it too. We talk through your history, triggers and routine, then create a personalised treatment plan.
What is the best treatment for acne?
It depends on your skin. Active breakouts and congestion usually respond best to a course of chemical peels, with blue LED built into every session. Marks and scarring left behind are treated afterwards with brightening peels or microneedling. Your consultation decides the order.
How much does acne treatment cost in Derby?
Every acne plan starts with a £40 in-depth consultation, a full skin health analysis that includes your acne. The HydroCLEANSE Super Facial is £60, the BHA Acne Correction Peel and Bespoke Facial are £80, acne microneedling is £150, and our Anti Acne Package is £250, with LED included in every treatment.
How many sessions will I need?
Most clients need a course of four to six treatments, spaced two to four weeks apart, alongside the right homecare. We review your skin at each visit and adjust the plan as it changes.
Can you treat acne scarring?
Yes, and we often start alongside your acne treatment. Microneedling and resurfacing can help improve the appearance of indented scars and post-acne marks on settled areas while we keep breakouts under control. Read our guide to acne scar treatment.
Do you treat teenage and adult acne?
Yes. We treat acne at every age, including hormonal and adult-onset acne. Clients under 16 need a parent or guardian present at their consultation.
Where is your acne clinic in Derby?
We are at 9 Vernon Street, Derby DE1 1FR, on the edge of the city centre, with paid street parking directly outside. Clients visit us from across Derby and Derbyshire, including Mickleover, as well as Burton upon Trent, Nottingham and Leicester.
Should I see my GP first?
If your acne is severe, painful, cystic, or affecting your mood, speak to your GP or a dermatologist, as prescription treatment may be needed. Clinic treatments can work well alongside it, and we will always tell you if we think a referral is the right step.
